Original ketuba ©2004 Elaine Adler — 22" x 27"
A scene of Jerusalem is flanked by a pair of towers with cartouche windows and Persian floral design. A passage attributed to the Baal Shem Tov separates the text from the outer design. "Ani l'dodi v'dodi li" is written in the tower domes. An English contemporary text, with the opening sentence also in Hebrew, is written in one paragraph, similar to the Aramaic traditional text. |
